I don’t know if you guys followed much of the local BLM activities last year, but you may recall the protest down in Provo where they were blocking the intersection and a truck tried pulling through, and someone shot at the truck ... that protest was largely organized and led by John Sullivan. Prior to and during the 2016 campaign, I never paid much attention to politics, and when it was getting close to the national election day in Nov, this was pretty much my hypothesis as well - that Trump was just a plant by the Dems to to take out the GOP candidates, and then when it was down to him and Killary, that he would roll over and hand the trophy over to her. I had only seen little snippets here and there of the campaign, and the medias mocking reaction to him, and thought of him as just a big duf sent by the Dems to make the GOP look dumb. Fast forward 4+ years - it sure seems that way. Trump has certainly made the GOP look dumb, but not from the perspective i thought 4 years ago.

I think this is the key area where you are missing it. I think that Beech and other core Trump supporters (including myself) see this as his greatest qualities, and why he is supported so strongly by people. We are sick of the establishment BS bought and paid for crooked career politicians from both parties who have sold us out to those that helped get them into office. He has been one of the few to come out and call them all out on their BS and exposed them for what they are. This is why we keep saying the GOP is crumbling - because Trump has exposed them - they saw his success, many tried to ride his coat tails and pretend that they are able to change their ways in hopes it will get them political power, but the instant they didn't see any need or value in him, they changed their tone, did an about face, and ran him over with the establishment bus. I toured the South Pacific extensively from 1999 to 2006. Spent weeks and sometimes a couple months at a time each winter island hopping. I was shocked by the pollution and waste. A buddy of mine spent two months touring Africa...rental cars, motorbikes, hitchhiking all with just a backpack. He told me the entire continent is virtually a lost cause.

I seen things change considerably right here in our neck of the woods in the last 35 years. Perhaps you've seen that truck camper I'm building? I kinda feel like Lt. Dunbar in Dances With Wolves...I wanna see it before it's gone.

Funny thing...I never had any kids, so the entire universe ends when I check out...but if I had children, I would imagine that I'd have a considerable amount of concern regarding the future...perhaps even the near future. But as it is, I'm probably going to live another 30 years or so...so I've still got some skin in the game.

Well, you're right about one thing and wrong about another...I FULLY understand why my family won't speak to me. They think I'm absolutely nuts...I was one of those kids that probably had ADHD with a little bi-polar thrown in to spice it up. Not much fun at the get-togethers with one of those running around. They think I'm violent, as I took a baseball bat to the head of my stepfather. They also think I'm a drug addict and homosexual. My cousin and I screwing each other when we were teenagers didn't go over well, either.
