Upper Chain Reaction. 2/2/13
A few us headed back out to Sand Hollow for some more fun. We decided to run the upper half of Chain Reaction since the weekend before we didnt get to finish it. Casulties this week were I broke a front birfield part way through and had to head out, and Richard with Nissan Xterra broke out one of his windows. This was his first trip through a hard trail, but he had a great time. Luckily we were in a spot that I could get down off the hill to the dunes in 2 wheel drive. Its a lot easier to fix it at my house that out on the trail. Will get it fixed back up and head out again.

That's a great shot!
So Toyota, back years ago when I used to run the 4+ (old designation) trails around Moab, my buddies and I would take all these pics and as soon as they were developed (yea, it's been a while) we would be so disappointed because they never made it look as hard/challenging as it really was. From your pics I can't imagine it being any harder than it looks, but from your perspective, do they do justice?

Yes and no. We try to rate our trails realistically as they are. We don't go to moab anymore. We had a "hardcore" group from New Mexico come try to run Arrowhead last weekend and they turned around at the first obstacle.
Jeep safari is cool, but sand hollow is the hidden gem of rock krawling. The terrain and scenery here is unbelievable, along with the comradary. I have only been posting the "heaps" style trails, but there is a full range available. We have $30,000 buggys we take out here, that are routinely denied on obstacles. There is stuff I don't even pull my tires on. Look at the guys face in your picture and decide
