Anyone been down Alcatraz recently?
I am planning on doing Alcatraz on March 23rd, and am interested to know if anyone has been down it recently (last couple of weeks). If so, what were the conditions? How much water? Thanks!!

My big ol' SUV is in the shop. Any word on the road out to alcatraz and pasture? Last time i make it to within 1/4 mile with a very low clearance car.

Great road conditions at least to Blue John but I don't know about "a very low clearance car". How low?

Something like 3 or 4 inches, but if the roads are in great condition, it will make it fine.

On the way to Alcatraz there is a spot a couple of miles from the pour off where the road has been washed out. You have to drive up over the bank and thru the sage brush and then back onto the road. I doubt you will make that in a passenger car unless it is a rental.
