We defend the South Korean borders, German borders and all sorts of foreign countries, but can't seem to figure out how to protect our own! SMH. This appeals to the engineer/planner in me. I agree it's one thing to just ask for $$$, but quite another to ask for money and specifically line out what and why it's needed and where that money will be spent.

If it's that important, sell it. I thought that's what Trump was good at. At the moment he's just rattling a tin cup to appease his base.

All of this is irrelevant IMO. Even if we were to construct the most impenetrable wall possible the Mexicans would still find a way over/through/underneath. I predict it will be the Democratic party that will fracture as their is also currently a civil war inside the party between the moderates and the progressives. But they currently are united by their hatred of Trump.

I'm hoping Trump takes his State of the Union speech on the road. Take it to a giant football stadium in a Trump stronghold like West Virginia. Trump is the blue collar workers president so give them the show. Turn it into one of the energy filled Trump rallies he is famous for.

I read something the other day that trump can layoff furloughed workers after 30 days or so? I doubt he will, but if they are really unnecessary, could be a way to save some cash.

The people that I feel bad for are the poor schlubs who still have to show up to work everyday but not get paid.
