Living in Wyoming, I can honestly say there is a lot of truth to this!

You actually missed one ~ at 1000 below zero they start to think about salting their roads. They don't salt the roads here. If there's black ice on the roads, they just close the roads.

Not to say it doesn't get cold in Wyoming. I have been there. It does. BUT, have you ever been to Minnesota in the winter? It is a wet cold, that cuts like a knife.

Yeah, I spent a few days in Minneapolis in February of '07 and it was awful. I still laughed at my friend because what's winter without snow and then over the next 2 days we got around 2 feet of white stuff, heh.

I grew up in Minnesota.

From experience I can tell you that the coldest place on earth is
the bus stop at 30th and Bryant in So. Minneapolis. I spent some
time there at 30 below zero.

I only spent a winter there, but my experience with my derailer, on my bike freezing up three miles from home, well below zero, I didn't want to spend another winter there.

:roflol: :roflol: I went for a ride this afternoon. The wind was blowing...25-35mph...it was in the 'teens...the three teenagers who were riding with me were wearing hoodies...no gloves...no coats...oh, they did actually put a hat on :haha: We were out for an hour....it got colder...and windier.....they were having a ball on the trail I was videoing and if I can figure out what I'm doing I'll post it. Seriously cold today - at least for me 'cause I'm an old guy...full of metal :lol8:
........and kids up here wear shorts all year 'round & put coats on if it gets 'chilly'. -10 degrees is a little chilly.....
