We decided to venture down Red Spur Canyon. Total time including the South Fork option was 8.5 hours. Technical gear used included a 100ft rope, 110ft pull cord, an assortment of hooks, pot shots and other pothole escape tools, plus plenty of webbing and other hardware.

Poncho House sits in an alcove on Chinle Creek, about halfway between the San Juan River and the Arizona border. By Navajo Nation roads, it is hard to locate the exact road if you have never been there before.

Our group of 6 made our way through Behunin canyon, Zion National Park. We brought plenty of rope and lots of extra hardware for this all day adventure.
