Afghanistan has always been one huge clusterf**k, but somehow Biden has managed to make it much worse. The west will be dealing with this new shit show and the terrorism that will breed there for the next 100 years.

So many US Military lives lost for nothing, and so many Afghanistan citizens who helped us now being executed and slaughtered. I guess Afghan lives don't matter, who would have ever guessed.

Biden has informed the Taliban they can’t enter the US Embassy in Kabul unless they are vaccinated and wear masks.


To be fair, though- wasn’t Trumps plan to have the troops out of there months ago, but Joe extended the retraction date? It US extraction likely would have gone better for the US personnel under Trump, but wouldn’t the long term impact in the region still be the same?

I'd say the "long term impact" was a forgone conclusion soon after it got started. This is not a failure of the United States, this is a failure of the world. We dove our dick deep in there while everyone else took a pass...but I'd say even with 20 nations armies occupying that country it probably wouldn't have made a difference...like a giant cancer spot on the planet, nobody cares about it. Lots of those around, actually.

Why didn't Trump pull out?...I reckon he wanted to, but the general staff undoubtedly told him it would turn straight into this. Perhaps after the "election" he figured just to let Joe take the hit. But then again, it's not a hit at all...nobody cares.
