Moonshine Wash [Video]
My family and I went and hiked Moonshine Wash this last weekend. We read mixed results about hiking it with children, but I would definitely rate it kid friendly. As we hiked down the canyon, I was a little nervous about our kids scrambling back out, but they climbed out on their own and loved it.
My daughter at the beginning of the canyon:
This canyon had lots of fun (but fairly simple) scrambling:

One of our favorite parts of the canyon:
This is where I would suggest turning back around:

I spot an "outie."
Nice TR, thanks for the share! It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Dan, I'd probably stop the kids from jumping so much. A broken leg or twisted ankle in some of these backcountry canyons will turn a fun trip into a not so fun trip. Remember that mediocre Medical Care in some of these slots is 6 or more hours away.
Nice pics and video.

If you want another cool slot canyon that is super family friendly, I would highly recommend Willis Creek Slot Canyon by Cannonville in top part of Escalante. It is higher elevation so not super hot yet, the canyon is does not have any scary bouldering issues, and there is this awesome creek that runs down the middle giving kids lots of fun splashing in it and walking or jumping in it. Absolute A+ for a great family adventure on this canyon. https://shaunasadventures.blogspot.c...-slot.html?m=1
