I can't help but wonder if he wrote that as a double entendre...otherwise if he's from Arkansas or Oklahoma that may be the way they pronounce it.
Either way...isn't it something that an average guy gets up in the morning, writes a few words on a piece of cardboard and becomes the internet equivalent of a complete fool. There's your 15 minutes, dude. The end of the world for some...
The foundation of paradise for others.

I'm disappointed you guys don't understand the threat. They are telling you what they'll do.
Listen to them.

Dougie Downer... your rhetoric gets old, stale and boring after a while and begins to fall on deaf ears. You really need to come up with a new schtick.
I think just about everyone on this forum understands exactly what is at stake, at least more than the average voter does.
I do well when the Democrats are in office, I do better when the Republican's are in office, but either way my life changes very little.
If they come for our guns I think most in this country understand they will be handed over bullets first.
YMMV

First, stop thinking if they sweep it's going to be normal Dem corporate rule. That is what I'm specifically perplexed by in your response. It won't be. They need to end any threat of a Trump uprising ever again. They need to end the notion of human freedom this country represents. We are the last stand.
After that? I don't know. But in the meantime, do everything you can, please. Your country is at stake. Believing a Bill Clinton, 90s Dem style govt is coming, leads to apathy.

Guns are 3rd or 4th on the list of worries. What are you doing this cycle? Have you donated, have you worked, have you called out of state lists?
All hands.
And the "getting old" comment. Easy to say the same back. We all know where we stand, nothing to learn. In my case it's ringing the alarm for the, still heard, "Trump landslide" thinking that I've been afraid has seen good people on this board not put all those hands in.
Something as simple as posting the NY Post story places, or the more serious of risking friendships to discuss the threat. Whatever.

Hahaha... I have an excellent grasp of history.
I just don't give a shit. I'm an old man, I'll soon be dead, my future is pretty much assured, my generation handed off a wonderful and prosperous country to the next generation... I guess if the the next generation wants to turn it into an everyone gets a participant trophy shit hole it's their choice. Who am I to dictate how they run their country when I'm gone? I think they are wrong, and I tell them so, but in the end it's their choice, which is the bases of our Democratic Republic, which is something you fail to grasp.

And I'm telling you those who have to live here should have the right to choose their government, even if I disagree and think it's wrong.
It's their bed they are making and they are the one's who will have to sleep in it.

Lets be honest, here.
Theres nobody that has election results bluetoothed in from back to the future.
Everyone is posting pre conceived notions on Nov. 3rd election, there is no Nostradamus among us.
I don't see it as a foregone conclusion any direction.
I agree with Doug that todays democrat/socialist/communist ain't JFK's.
I think the core base, remaining on this site use rational and common sense, more than most to base decisions on.
I think Dougs point is--"that" concept is lost on a large % of voters.
IF all Americans thought rationally and with common sense--the vote would already be over, Trump in an electoral/popular landslide.
Preparing mentally/physically, stocking food, self defense items, etc. is not crying wolf--it's prudent.
Plan for the worse(I think all here are)hope for the best.
I believe thats Dougs story, makes sense to me,
Todays hyperbole can quickly become tomorrow's reality.
We are in a key time historically, will be talked about for eons.
And I can see a Trump loss being the final straw for this Constitutional Republic, theres no one else who has the ability to fight communism here.
4 more years of Trump will change that outlook--drastically.
Doug is not the enemy but there are many who are.I'm not Spartacus
It'll come back.

You know, I heard this exact same rhetoric when Obama took office in 2008 and the Democrats had a majority in both the House and the Senate.
And then again in 2012 when Obama ran against that other Democrat Mormon....I can't recall his name...
And here we all are --- we seemed to have survived 8 years of a Democrat majority even though the political doomsayers swore that Obama was going to usher in socialism.
But this time it's different...It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Indeed it is.
Whomever the democrat mormon obiden ran against---he was part of the insiders, he was paid handsomely and was never a threat to those who would destroy a perfectly good Republic.
Trump--as we all know and understand, is the first threat to a politicians "cozy" highly enrichened lifestyle.
Unless you can tell me who will fight, on a top National level, after him--yes, it's different, way different.I'm not Spartacus
It'll come back.

And this is why I thought we had little chance even in 2019. This isn't a knock on you, it's just observation and reality. We're older, getting tired, looking to wind down, don't have so many years to suffer the end result of what they're doing.
But also, we do have a streak of tolerance they don't, to let a result stand. So in the end, they are more devoted than most of us are. And Trump supporters are hella devoted, granted. Their allegiance isn't to Biden but to leftism, and following an idea is stronger than following a person.

heres an oldie I posted to lighten up.
Throwback Thurs.
Subject: The test
An old country preacher had a teenage son, and it was getting time the boy should give some thought to choosing a profession. Like many young men his age, the boy didn't really know what he wanted to do, and he didn't seem too concerned about it. One day, while the boy was away at school, his father decided to try an experiment. He went into the boy's room and placed on his study table four objects.
1. A Bible
2. A silver dollar
3. A bottle of whisky
4. And a Playboy magazine
'I'll just hide behind the door,' the old preacher said to himself. 'When he comes home from school today, I'll see which object he picks up.
If it's the Bible, he's going to be a preacher like me, and what a blessing that would be!
If he picks up the dollar, he's going to be a business man, and that would be okay, too.
But if he picks up the bottle, he's going to be a no-good drunken bum, and Lord, what a shame that would be.
And worst of all if he picks up that magazine he's going to be a skirt-chasing womanizer.'
The old man waited anxiously, and soon heard his son's foot-steps as he entered the house whistling and headed for his room. The boy tossed his books on the bed, and as he turned to leave the room he spotted the objects on the table.
Curious, he walked over to inspect them. Finally, he picked up the Bible and placed it under his arm. He picked up the silver dollar and dropped into his pocket. He uncorked the bottle and took a big drink, while he admired this month's centerfold.
'Lord have mercy,' the old preacher disgustedly whispered.
'He's gonna run for Congress!'I'm not Spartacus
It'll come back.
