2025 is a LONG wait. Kinda joking, but will BYU still be appealing in 5 years? Their brand has already taken some huge hits.

Nothing Urban Meyer couldn't fix in a season.
Theres only a handful of coaches who can consistently coach top 10 ball and Whit isn't on the list.I'm not Spartacus

There is a HUGE (can’t emphasize this enough) difference between Ohio State/Florida and Utah. My argument would be that Whitt has done more with less, while Meyer has never had an empty cupboard, except maybe at Bowling Green.
Let’s compare Apples to Apples:
Meyer took McBride and Whitts players in 2004 to an undefeated season and beat No. 19 Pittsburgh (8-3). They ended No. 4 in the AP and No. 5 in the coaches.
Whitt took his own players and went undefeated in 2008, then beat heavily favored No. 4 Alabama (12-1, 8-0 SEC). They ended up No. 2 in the AP and No. 4 in the coaches. To make that year sting worse, Florida and Meyers team won the mythical championship with a 13-1 record.
Meyer is one hell of a coach and there is no question about that. That said, it’s an Apples to Oranges comparison based on the players they have both had on the field.

Whitt is no Urban Meyer... Meyer would have at least one PAC 12 Championship at Utah over the past two years. There are only half a dozen coaches with Meyer's talent and none of them are coming to Utah.
With that being said we should be thrilled to have Whitt. He is a great coach that has been offered more money at biggers school and turned it down to stay at Utah.

It sounds like the 2020 season will be cancelled.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me if High School football is going forward and the NFL is going forward. This, if it happens, will have a crazy downstream effect with scholarships, contracts, transfers, etc. not to mention the millions/billions of dollars lost. Well, let me back up a step or two. It may make sense to me since most universities are bastions of liberalism and this pandemic is turning into a giant political mess. As I have said before, when you mix science with politics, you get politics.

Oh geeez...what the hell is myocarditis?
Pac-12 reportedly set to punt on football in 2020, decision could come Tuesday after Pac-12 CEO Group meets
ESPN.com’s Kyle Bonagura is among those reporting that the conference’s medical advisory committee, which conferred with Pac-12 athletic directors on Sunday, will brief the CEOs on a growing concern about myocarditis. It’s described in the ESPN.com report as “an inflammation of the heart muscle often caused by a viral infection that has been linked closely to COVID-19.” The American Heart Association, continued the report, has “an exceptionally high risk of death caused by cardiogenic shock, fatal arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeats) and multi-organ failure.”
