Who's out there getting their Fall Colors shots this season? They started a bit later this year but I think it's finally here.

Do you tinker with your color saturation levels at all? The reds in the first video are unreal.

[Sombeech]

I use a polarized filter to cut out some of the glare and haze, and ND-4 to darken it up a bit. This, combined with filming in shaded areas really help the color come out.

But the best way to shoot the best colors is to choose the location. I usually drive around for hours scouting. I made a couple of drives this past week to different areas, not getting anything. So people will see these reds and expect them to be everywhere, but I've sought them out after scouting around.

And sure, it's tweaked, edited, sped up in some shots, shaded in others, brightened in others just like most responsible video makers. But I try to keep it somewhat realistic to reflect what I thought the experience was like.

Here's an unedited frame from my video last year with the "fake" purple trees, but along with the 2 purple leaf plum trees in my front yard at the time, purple foliage does exist and is quite common in certain forests.

Thanks, yeah you might see these 2 going around soon, I just signed the license this morning. As for Good Morning America, sometimes they pick it up from this agent and sometimes not.

No I'm on the South of Pineview closer to Snowbasin. It's the old Snowbasin Road before Trappers Loop was built.
