It's not really any harder than healthy eating at home, just plan it out early, if you wait till last minute you just throw the first thing you see into the cart. Do a little prep work at home also, cut things up, maybe cook the whole thing so all you do at camp is re heat.

High protein energy bars. Durable fruit (not watermelon, bananas, or raspberries), trail mix, beef jerky, dried pineapple, dried banana chips, cashews, and horehound drops if I'm feeling saucy.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
