I was in St. George over the weekend. There is NOTHING on the Pine Valley mountains north of there. They are in trouble for next summer unless something changes quickly.

Yeah I was in St. George over the weekend too. Over 60F and everybody walking around in shorts. This is nuts.

If you have FB: https://www.facebook.com/KVandykeWX/...58992940962132
First time in 8 years where all 50 states have snow/sleet on the ground.
Love the comments in her FB feed that people have been telling her: ”nope..not Hawaii!” And she replies back (nicely), “YEP, 13,000ft on the top of volcanoes”. Their response, “oh...”
Geography 101 fail.
Similar to Justin’s CGI ice-skating drone video...all fails.

"He who walks on the edge...will eventually fall."
"There are two ways to die in the desert - dehydration and drowning." -overhearing a Park Ranger at Capitol Reef N.P.
"...the first law of gear-dynamics: gear is like a gas - it will expand to fit the available space." -Wortman, Outside magazine.

Once an in law who live in Salt Lake most of his life asked me which mountains the Wasatch were.
Anyway here is a photo of skiing at Mauna Kea Hawaii:
I'm sure most of us have already seen this, but..
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

You should share that pic on her FB comment section and just blow everyone’s mind...
And that video...wowsers. I just asked my 8 year-old niece and she guessed Turkey. Not bad, but not perfect. But..my niece also knew the capital of France.

Isn't France a country? Hungry? Never heard of it.
I like Jeff's snappy comeback when she asserts she only hears what she wants:

I hope she's good in the sack because she is dumb as a rock.

Weatherman talks tough, but Mother Nature doesn't deliver.
So the forecast called for a whopping 3 - 8 inches of snow in the valleys...My front lawn has a little over a skiff (maybe an inch), and now the sky is clearing and the sun is coming out. This winter is bull$hit. It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Weird that there would be so much variability in such a small distance. 6" in Kaysville but just down the road (and further north) in North Ogden we got barely one inch.

Riding our fat bikes through Draper last night Acca and I noticed noticed homes with 8" or so on the lawns yet only a block or two away it was 14". I measured 12 in my back yard at 9:00 am when I had finished the walks. When I lets the dogs in at 10:00 pm there was another 3 on the deck.
