Ogden Christmas Tree
We bought snowshoes for the family as a Christmas gift and we had a chance to try them out today on the Ogden Bonneville Shoreline trail, we started at the top of 27th and went up to the Christmas Tree, just about above 29th street.
It was a short hike but a good test for how the kids will do on longer hikes that we hope to make this winter.

We also bought snow shoes this year and hiked in to get a tree. Really found out that if there isn't at least a foot of powder, they are more effort than not having them on at all

Yeah the trails around here are getting used year 'round it seems with bikers and hikers, so when we snowshoe, we probably don't need them on the main trails. It's almost like we need to get creative and try to get more use out of them.
