Went to take a look at a 08 KTM xc today with high hopes.
Figured if it was a good one I may just have enough left over for a tent trailer for my little pos truck.
First thing that caught my eye was shelf after shelf of moto dirt trophies.

This pos would not even idle after 3 min. with the choke on and I suspect it had never been taken care of. HAMMERED to the GRAVE comes to mind.
The cam chain sounded as if it would come through the head or sleeve at any second. $3750 my arse.

I told him I had drooped the price to sell on both my bikes and I just might have a buyer for the red one

When you start to look for a used bike close to home:

The maddening part is every SOB thinks their ride is golden and then you show up to check them out and everyone seems to be clueless to true value. (well it used to idle ok)
OR I have only rode it three times in the last three years( the last race-yes race was back in Feb. Rhino Rally and he's trying his best to get the mud off today only cause I gave him a call and he knows dam well I'm on my way.WTF PEOPLE???????????

Seems a big part of moto madness is more patience than I have.

Maybe it's just me and maybe I should ask the golden price myself but my hell what is up with these crazy basturds?

What's up with these crack heads that think a bike that will not idle is worth more than mine that is ripe and ready and will smoke them from start to ?

K I don't know about you but the terrain I ride this race looks like something I would love to try.
Fresh, Dark ,Soft and ready to hook up with min. obstructions that I can see.


Does not really start to pick up till about 7 min mark but enjoy it all.

Moto MAdness is when you just need a fix and can't get to your moto.

That shit will drive you crazy after talking to fools trying to get more than top dollar for the hunk of stuff the deem as a small fortune.


I just want to ride a new ride with some simple shit please and not all the horse sh** glamour talk.
Just let me throw a leg over it and I promise after the first or 5th lap I'll let you know.

When buying used whatever the seller has to say is of no use. You have to make your own decision. When I hear bought it for my wife ........... I start to laugh.

The other thing that cracks me up is when the ad states original owner never been raced and it has race #'s on every plate.

I looked at an 08Rmz450 that only had 5 hrs on it. The problem was, the chain had at least 50 hrs on it! Hell, I beat the piss out of my Wr450 and the guy who bought it got a steal. That's because I re worked everything. Some of us have to sleep at night. :confused:

I took my YZ into the mech. to make sure the top end was tight and right before I dared to put it up on the market.
Besides paper work always helps. Lots of new extra parts don't hurt either.

So to the moto garage it went.
On my camping cabinet I built with nice white doors.
It's about 30"x30"


My good friend Butch gave it to me as an early Christmas Present.

@ moabmark -Ya and they're the race specific square stickers with a color back ground. for us one timers.

I know for a fact my YZ has been raced once- a works race.
SOmething I really would love to try again. I had a blast.

I paid $350 to get it to the doctor and all she needed was one valve shim and she has a clean bill of health and runs clean and very crisp.

Everything in the top end looks good and clean - Within factory specs.
Funny how money sometimes can make you sleep better at night.
