Porter takes on Thunder Mountain
We were down in the Bryce Canyon area this weekend as my wife ran the half marathon down there along with my aunts, so I took the bike and Porter's bike attachment along.
It was raining on and off all weekend and I was getting bummed that the Thunder Mountain trail would be muddy and wet, but alas the skies opened up to us just hours before departure and the sun shone upon our faces. The trail had dried out very quickly and was in PERFECT condition. Zero dust with no mud.
So I got my wife to drop my aunt, Porter and I off at the top and we had a great ride. This was my aunt's first major bike ride and she did very well on her 20 year old hard tail Jamis. She was a little nervous at first but I talked her into it. After all, if I'm pulling my son along....
The images in this first post are stills right out of the GoPro, not modified at all. The colors on the ride were THAT incredible.

Porter loved it. Many times I heard a "WEEEEEE HOOOOOO!!!" from behind me.
Here's a little horny toad he caught.

I've gotta give major credit to my Aunt for deciding to ride with me. She's 51 and this was her first real mountain bike trail on her 20+ year old hard tail Jamis. I'm sure she was a lot more nervous than she let on riding some of those sections, but not even the slightest stumble or tip over from her.

How did that bike setup hold up with the steep switch backs near the end?
