Well nuts. I just saw this.

I have a slight conflict of interest. I have a facebook account so as to appear hip and with it or should I say dope and whatever the kids are saying. I go on it like once a month. Still not sure why I need a book of faces. And Oldno7, actually using facebook is far more damaging than being left out of the club. If you think Bogley is loaded with mindless dribble, times that by about a bazillion...."Had a fish sandwich today" "Feeling ugly today" "Wow, I didn't know pink erasers still existed." Then people read this junk and "like" it. So I should be looking to sue for lost time that I will never get back.

Scott, you need better friends and a lesson in how to set your privacy levels. ;-)

My post was mostly teasing about those who post every little event in their life including what they eat as if anyone else really cares. I guess if they had an eating disorder I would care but seriously. I like to cook and I like a good recipe but I don't really need or want to know what you ate for lunch. I also shut down anyone who is posting ad nauseam how much they love their husband or wife and how great they are. Does somebody have self esteem issues? Just me. Perhaps someone should start a thread about annoying posts on Facebook.

Anyway, I have posted some requests for some help with certain community service events that I have been involved with and I have had great success through facebook. It certainly has its place, but boy oh boy do some people share way too much. My daughters have taught me how to de-friend or keep friends silent or whatever. Very useful tool!

Yeah, I've learned to hide posts from the constantly annoying friends on facebook, much like the ignore feature on bogley.
