Naked Woman Rescued From Cliff in California
March 22, 2011

Talk about a cliffhanger.

A naked woman was rescued after she got stranded on a San Diego cliff on Tuesday, reported Fox5SanDiego.com.

The woman, who was not identified in the report, was unharmed. But it took rescuers 30 minutes to rig a series of ropes to harness the woman. A lifeguard helped her rappel to the beach.

Maurice Luque, a spokesman from the San Diego Fire and Rescue Department, said people get stranded on the trails above Black

Hmmm...Black's Beach is a nude beach, so the nudity thing itself isn't a surprise. But, why anyone would go climbing up those cliffs nude...that's puzzling. She didn't even appear to have any climbing shoes on

You are correct; I have never experienced that particular joy

I have, however, done naked yoga on the beach at Hermit Creek rapids in the Grand Canyon, and given a group of river rafters either a cheap thrill or a good laugh

. Come to think of it, that's not the first time I've been naked in the Grand Canyon...

I worked for a rafting company that did floats from Lees Ferry to Lake mead in the late 80's. Clothing seemed to be optional. Almost all of the tourist went skinny dipping at one time or another during the 7 day trip. Great memories of the Grand canyon.

One has to appreciate the sheer fun of climbing unencumbered to understand why this girl was naked on a cliff face, but it's not really that incredible, you just have to use your imagination a bit, allow your mind to accept the idea of being naked, and enjoy the tactile sensation of the rock and the sunshine. Also, as all climbers know, it's easier to go up than down any steep terrain. In this case, fun for everyone ;-)

Hmm, when I rowed with Grand Canyon Dories it was a VERY mixed bag.

I worked for John Cross tours in 1987, our biggest competitor was Western River Expeditions, I believe that they are still doing guided trips.

Hiking naked is awesome. I'd be lying if I said I'd never stripped down to the b-day suit while alone out in the desert in the middle of nowhere.
