Zion: How did they fall?
How many fatalities from "falling" have occurred in Zion National Park?
A. Below is a list of fatalities from "falling" in Zion National Park, dating back to the parks establishment. The info below is incomplete. The below list includes only incidents where suspicious activity was not involved. What are the others?

Probably why there is a chain there now and signs.
I have heard the story of one boy falling, but not sure I have the details right. A boy was left behind at the Middle Pool while his mom and step dad went to the upper pool. He got too close and fell off. I think he was around 12? They sued the park even though they left him behind.

I remember about 12 years ago snagging a toddler away from the edge of the cliff at Emerald Pools. Parents had gotten tired of holding him and let him wander away. Coulda been 8.

So, now the REAL question is how many falls have happened that DID involve "suspicious" activity?

Tanya, your post says there have been 2+ fatalities on Lady Mountain. Do you happen to know if those were when the 'trail' was still set up, or since the cables, etc. have been removed?
