None. :-)

I love listening to books. I know, I know, I am a geek, but I get sick of music. I don't get much time to sit down and read, so I listen while I run. I just finished a book about the Bataan Death March of WW2, and Vince Flynns new book American Assassin. I have a subscription to audible and my brother and I split the cost. We get 24 books a year, and I get to keep them and re-listen as many times as I want. It makes running much more enjoyable. One of my all time favorite books is The Green Mile by Stephen King. Great narrator and excellent story. I could go on and on about the great books I have enjoyed while running.

Lately when I'm running I have gotten hooked on listening to Covenent, Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Fisherspooner, and Sneaker Pimps. Sometimes I do a little more dancing than running, but its fun!

I just listen to Flogging molly or NIN when I run, or the sound of my feet hitting the ground is always nice :)
Tacoma Said - If Scott he asks you to go on a hike, ask careful questions like "Is it going to be on a trail?" "What are the chances it will kill me?" etc. Maybe "Will there be sack-biting ants along the way?"

If I listen to music it is usually jam bands or something melodic that slows my brain down. Escapism. I don't listen to music when it is dangerous, with others, or early morning before work. Freakinomics Radio isn't bad either.

Metal bands. The faster the BPM, the faster I tend to run. I find that Static X is kinda my fall back crutch. Just has the right rhythm.

I love Disturbed, Korn and Rammstein on the road. They put my adrenaline on the go!
