I figured it was looking north, so at least I got that right. I can see the Book Cliffs in the distance, but the proximity of those red hills on the left is throwing me off.

I know I've seen that place.

    Is it around Twomile Canyon?

Hint: Those are the La Sals in the far distance on the right. The mountain in the nearer distance on the left should give you a good idea of which mountain is in the center foreground.

Yep! It was taken from Sid's Mountain, looking out onto No Man's Mountain. Mexican Mountain is on the left in the background.

I know that one!! It is in some little town in Idaho, on the road back from Craters of the Moon National Monument on the way back in to Idaho Falls. The name of the town escapes me... Arco or Butte City maybe... I have that same picture

Looks like Granite Hot Springs to me, but I've only been there in the Winter.

Well done Kurt. This is a sweet little place, I guess it shouldnt be surprising that someone could spot it so quickly. I heard about people snowmobiling in and things like that - that would be awesome. We were there during a particularly fantastic afternoon thunderstorm
