Going to San Diego
We're heading down to San Diego this weekend to catch a little AC/DC.
Hoping to do a little surfing too. I've been a few times but can't remember the best beaches. I've been to Imperial, Huntinton, Long Beach, Dog Beach, and Ocean Beach (Oceanside?). Any suggestions?
Other than that we're gearing up for the 11 hour drive, stopping over in St George just for the night and then flooring it to San Diego saturday morning.
Coming back Monday.

blacks has great surfing. the cliffs there are beautiful and the sand is the real sand that would be on the beach, not the stuff dredged up off shore like most beaches.
windansea has good surfing and is a cool beach all around.

Oh La Jolla has awesome snorkling too! Nothing better than swimming in 6 feet of water with a 6 foot shark. And thousands of stingrays too, it's amazing if you catch the tides coming in just right.
If you want, stop by my place in St George. I'll lend ya my fins and snorkel. They are the $20 costco specials, hehe.Your safety is not my responsibility.

La Jolla up by the pier on the north end has a great rip tide that will pull you out to the good swells....the LG's will cus at you though. If you go up to Del Mar there are some good breakers. Blacks does have good waves but you'll wreck a lot because of what you're looking at and not paying attention..... ;)
Be sure to hit the gas lamp district and hit Studio Diner and Anthony's good food!
Have fun!livinutoutdoors.com
Don't talk unless you can improve the silence.
The trout do not rise in the cemetery, so you better do your fishing while you are still alive. SGH

I'm sorry I'm bailing out on this trip. I was really excited but I'm trying to pretend to be an adult and being responsible. Moving out of the parent's basement seems like the better thing to do anyway.
I really like Huntington Beach. Ruby's Diner out on the end of the pier is pretty cool and the burgers are good. Saw a guy catch a stingray off the pier last time I was out there.
Aliso Viejo has a really nice beach as well. Not to sure about the surfing out there. Never got into it. The surfing part was easy. Paddling out beyond the surf was the pain in the ass part.
Have fun!
