Fisher Towers
Hiked Fisher Towers with the family this weekend. It's a fun little adventure near Moab.

Next time I hike it I think I'll dress the family in Star Wars costumes, or maybe Lord of the Rings outfits... the entire place looks like something out of a Science Fiction novel and it would freak out the other hikers.....

You must have just missed MrBrejcha and Me. Too bad, you would have been entertained by our crying and whining on the last pitch of Ancient Art. "I'm scared... this is high... you lead it... no, you lead it... Why are we doing this again? Oh yea because it's fun "

i love the fishers. i took one of my first lead falls on the titan tower. circa 1979. was on the start of the third pitch and standing on this 1/4 bolt that was put in by layton kor. it ripped and i took the fall. thank god for that 5 bolt belay anchor. i still have that bolt.
we climbed that little pinnacle in the parking lot too. its harder than it looks. But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

04-26-2009, 06:48 PM #11I'll be honest.... the only reason I really want to climb Ancient Art is so I can get the cool traditional picture of me standing on top.
