So Justin, the thread says your gearing up for another contest. WTF? That was clear back in May?

This contest has been a constant frustration for me. In the beginning the prizes for these contests were paid for outta my own pocket. After footing the bill for the first 5 contests, I got to thinking there's gotta be another way to fund these things. After all, I aint made of money. So I started pitching the idea around to get local outdoor retailers to sponsor the prizes for these contests. To date, all I get is the runaround. Nobody wants to commit to sponsor this contest.
Tom Jones gave me a pretty good discount on items from his CUSA store in the past, but I've hit him up twice about it recently and he's ignoring me so I guess that's my answer.
I pitched the idea to Bo and Tanya, but that went nowhere. Tanya left Zion and Bo's store is closing, so there's two more dead ends.
If we could get someone to commit to if not sponsoring this contest then at least offering a significant discount on items (like Tom did in the past), then I'd be more than willing to start this up again.
I'm open to ideas....It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

What about charging a small entry fee... like $10.00 then it is not coming out of your own pocket. Find out how many want to participate, have them pay on pay pal. Then purchase the item and start the game, or offer a gift cert to whatever outdoor outlet the person wants.

Sponsor or no sponsor, there oughtta be a way we can get this thing going. We should have the winner pick the next spot, and then they can offer the prize... Kinda like paying it forward, type of thing. Make it like a 10 buck limit or something...
The idea of the contest is cool, so we should figure out a way to not make it cost anyone money, unless they are reimbursed, or we can do it white elephant style. I can offer up some prints, for instance. Alex can make us survival bracelets. Reedus some tannerite. Eric some chef boyardee. Shane can donate dvd's of his favorite porn. The list goes on...
If you do find a sponsor, we gotsta get more people involved in the thing to make it worth the sponsor's time. Or give them some serious play in general discussion, etc...
BTW, thanks for your work on it.

Dan that made me laugh!
The winner could be given admin rights to change people's titles for a week. My friend did that on his own big forum with different contests and members really had fun time with that.

The upper falls at Adams Canyon are very well known. This smaller falls is not as well known, but closer to the road.
Well Done!
