Utah Renaissance Festival and Fantasy Faire
Dang, I can't believe I forgot this forum. The things you fail to think about when they get wiped from your "favorite places" list.
Any hoo...
My cousin is organizing Utah's first renaissance festival, to be held May 4, 5, and 6 at the West Haven City Park, 2785 West 3300 South in West Haven (just west of Ogden). This is Utah's first such fest (my first as well), so I wouldn't expect it to rival the one in Phoenix just yet. I hear the Phoenix one is big.
There will be artisan shops, entertainment (among which I will be included), great food, at other renfest things.

Sounds fun to me.Originally Posted by Mandy

Sounds like it's worth going to. Just 5 bucks.

That sounds cool--although I know for a fact there have been renaissance fairs in Utah before--my dad took me to one when I was a kid back in the late sixties or early seventies. Very interesting event!

I have also been told that the Shakespearean Festival is also a renaissance faire, though I've never been to it, so I can't say.
I'm going to meet my cousin and his partner tomorrow to get some more info.Originally Posted by Mandy
