He just added some mods. New 28L tank and seat. Side stand and front disk cover. I thought I'd share some pics.

Hmmm.
It is pretty hard to beat an M21 front tire on the road. How is the D606 front on hard dirt? Like a road in the uitah's, out by the PE, or St. George?
My D756 front, on my 400EXC keeps throwing me down on that stuff. Not my fault !!!
I am sher......

I dont have extensive riding time with the D606 on front and back. However right now I have a MT21 on the front and D606 on the back. So I will be able to see how I like that set up. I probably wont swap out the front until it wears out? Between my Dad and I we will have a good idea of the best setup over the next several months. He hasn

Ok I think I have you figured out double moo. If you ride a BMW then I know you. We need to get some of your trip reports on here with pictures. This moto section needs some more octane. Your pictures of the KTM extended range fuel tanks definitely has some.....

I hope those "extended range" fuel tanks are somebody's attempt at humor? I hope...

Yeah no joke, (but insert here) that was before he got his 7 gallon tank shown above. Old school.......

Hey, that looks like my house. :? And that looks like my old man.
Yea, I remember him telling me about those "external fuel tanks". So long as they worked, who am I to criticize. Adapt and overcome right?

They work!
He ran the tank totally dry so that he could see how many miles it got before empty. Then some 200 miles out there we cut the duct tape and used the spares.
As I recall we filled up in Wendover at 240 miles by my odometer (I still had over a gallon left!)
Note: when purchasing the bike he had a larger tank put on - after this trip he ordered an even bigger one!
Oh.... and the D606's suck on the freeway!

I need to get something else. What are you running on your PIG?

Metzler Tourances - like a 95% road - 5% dirt... if the dirt is actually a fire road... or not much worse.
The pig does weigh 500+ lbs wet and needs a more substantial tire for the road stresses incurred at 100 +mph. Factors the katoom shouldn't need to experience.
