    Rope Protector

Last year, during the last rappel in Lower refrigerator, my rope got severely damaged (S..C..A..R..Y ).
Granted this abrasion was mid rappel, and a rope protector wouldn't have helped much in that specific situation, but I'm looking into getting one as added protection in case that situation arises.
    1. Any opinions on rope protector?
    2. I'm looking into getting the WILDKEN Rope Protector (link below)...any opinion/advice?

BTW...I believe the main reason for the abrasion was a poor rappelling style by one of the team members (doesn't help that he's ~220lb)

    Cheers
