    Beauty Around Me

In an effort to contribute my "outdoor" adventures and add to this site, and in response to @tcope, I offer the following photo and thread.

I love the fall colors forum, but hey, there is beauty all around us all year long. So here is my Sunday trip report to my neighbors house. I went there to see if these two twin boys were ready to go camping and what gear needs they had. I was asking because I am an adult leader of a group of 6 boys ages 11 -13. I guess I could be considered a scout master except we don't do the scouting program. We have a campout planned two weeks from now. So, when I was on the front porch I spotted this perfect rose hidden from the front view of the bush and mostly hidden from view anywhere. Enjoy this beautiful little flower that has survived a frost or two. I'd love to see the beauty that you are seeing when you are out and about.

Last trip to Utah/Zion was in November 2019. Hope to return in 2022.

Lovely! That looks very like the road to Hop Valley (and hence to Kolob reservoir and Lava Point); all very favourite places close to my heart.

This is from a recent morning bike ride into work. We have had some spectacular sunrises/sunsets lately here along the Wasatch Front.

Yep--wall street was still closed a couple weeks ago as well.
A shame as it offers big bang for a short hike buck.

I just came out of Rock Canyon east of Provo, Utah. Yep, saw a lady hiking alone with a mask on. In 2 hours I probably saw 8 people..... and one with a mask.

Yep, I saw a guy yesterday riding his bike with a mask on...

I ride my MTB in Corner Canyon 5 days a week, and hikers in the middle of nowhere wearing a mask is common place.

....when I see a guy in the middle of nowhere I always wonder if he's also wearing a condom... you know... just to be safe.

So the dark photo was taken while in my sleeping bag in the bed of my truck. Full moon in Buckhorn Wash/Draw. The same photo was taken in the morning from my sleeping bag. The other photo is the "Little Grand Canyon" view of the area. The middle of nowhere is a beautiful place!
