Yep...not even the "local" news. They're just mini versions of CNN or MSNBC, really. I'll just log on to this computer to see the weather and if there's any road closures or other things that might impact me, and...nothing really impacts me.
I'll admit, it was kinda weird at first...having that idiot box on as background noise for so many, many years. But that weirdness subsided...and now I can't imagine having it back on. Granted, I never signed up for HBO or Netflix or any of the channels that so many seem to be obsessed with...all these shows that everyone talks about. Not even Game of Thrones...I was totally unfamiliar with it. Besides, that or any other show like Breaking Bad, etc...if I ever feel the need to watch them I'll go and buy the DVDs. Maybe when I'm old, bored and have nothing better to do?
Honestly...it all started back when they released Star Wars, The Force Awakens...I thought, "OK, I've had enough of this crap".The end of the world for some...

So let's see if I have this correct... we fought a 20 year war to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.
Did I get that right?

Yep. We cut the cord over 10 years ago, and never looked back. No regrets whatsoever.
In contrast, I go to my parents house where they LIVE and BREATHE the news 24/7. My mom is always fretting and worrying about this and that - Covid, Russia-gate, the next variant, etc, etc, etc. I've had to sit her down and firmly explain that it's ALL propaganda that is designed to do one thing - create fear. The media is in the business of peddling fear, and if the masses are content then they've failed. It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I reckon we'll be seeing a lot more of these...unless the rulers at Youtube decide to take them down. Check out the comments section...

And what is incomprehensible is that we are at the mercy of the tallybon.
If they decide enough is enough, they could slaughter 5000 troops and an equal or greater number of civilians trying to get to the airport, unassisted.
The tallybon is bringing in thousands more troops each day to Kabul.
biden has SOLD out our country to china, in china's search to control the global rare earth market, they now have a green light.(10% for the big guy)
Be interesting to see how the tallybon handles billions of dollars coming in, steadily.I'm not Spartacus

U.S. Embassy tells Americans NOT to go to Kabul airport due to security threats: Warning issued a day after Biden said there was 'no indication' Taliban was stopping citizens during fumbled speech which was contradicted by the Pentagon
- The U.S. Embassy told Americans on Saturday not to go to Kabul airport because of 'security threats outside its gates
- The warning was issued less than 24 hours after Biden's confusing address to the American people where he promised to bring them home
- Shortly after Biden's Friday speech, DoD spokesman John Kirby contradicted the president and said he was aware of Americans being beaten by the Taliban
- It's unclear exactly how many U.S. citizens remain in Afghanistan, but estimates have ranged as high as 15,000
- Abdul Ghani Baradar - one of the Taliban’s top leaders who negotiated the exit of US troops with former President Donald Trump in Qatar - arrived in Kabul on Saturday
- He will lead discussions with other Taliban leaders who will construct the framework for how they govern the country over the next week few weeks

That was very enlightening. When I saw it was 54 minutes long, I didn't expect to watch the whole thing, but I did. Thanks for sharing.
