well, speaking of Alaska, and the Brooks Range, have you ever been to "Shang-ri-la" (aka Thunder Valley" in Gates of the Arctic N.P.?

We flew over it (with Coyote Air) , but my guess is that on foot its more impressive.

I have not. We spend most of our time east of the Dalton highway. But I would sure like to get over there.
