Where can I camp at Bear Lake?
My family has a boat. We want to go to Bear Lake but all of the reservable camp-spots are booked all summer (on the state-park website). Are there places that we can just drive up and camp? Are there any other recommendations on how to have a good visit to Bear Lake without breaking the bank? Thank you!

Are you looking for spots just on the Utah side? Acca and I used to just camp in the foothills overlooking the lake as teenagers, but now it's gotten so developed that the spots where we used to camp are now summer homes.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Mostly private around Bear Lake but maybe check out the FS campsites in adjacent canyons.
