    PSPS = Public Safety Power Shutoff

    PSPS = Public Safety Power Shutoff, out here in Calif. its in response to wildfire risks in hot weather and high winds.

    Looks like S. Utah may be in for some of this?

    PG&E - our electricity provider, in the span of two years, installed a lot of local remotely controlled sectionalizing switches on power poles, so that they could fine tune and localize the shutoffs - instead of the hated broad brush approach which at first was all they could do.
