Seeking Canyoneering Recommendations/Partners in LA!

Hey all,
I fell in love with canyoneering when I was abroad, I just moved back to the states and am new to LA.

I was so happy to find this forum! Seems like everyone I talk to doesn't know what this lovely activity is. I've been trying to figure out how to do it here. For example I read one forum that pointed me to Lytle Creek. I went there.. it was lovely but couldn't figure out how to do canyoning and it just turned into a hike by the river.

Anyway I've love to get some info on canyoning, or even join a canyoning group. I'm a 36 year old movie director/producer. I don't have any gear but would buy once I know where to go.
