This is really funny. Interesting how humans are the same no matter what time period they're living in.

If they university had a brain they would have taken care of this when they transitioned from a community college to a university. They rebranded everything then, changed all the signage ect... not a cheap thing to do.

I was a mask virgin until today. I just don’t go into stores often and whatnot, plus I keep my distance...even BEFORE Covid.

Anyway I told my girls that we could get a Slurpee today, so we roll up and there are signs plastered all over the front doors. So I had to go back to the glovebox to get some for us. Sure enough a couple guys walked in there without them, but 80% had masks on.

    ^^^Pussy.

Just kiddin. Here's the deal: even with increased awareness and increasing numbers of folks wearing masks, that daily tally of new Covid cases just continues to go up, up, up.

Masks will not save us. Herd immunity is the only solution. And that's only gonna come when the majority of the population gets it.

I now know of 6 people who have gotten it - confirmed cases. Interesting how each of them were affected. Half of them said it was like a really bad flu, and the other half were barely affected at all.

I still don't know anyone personally who has had it. I know of 3 people that have had it. One was mildly sick. One is Savanah here on Bogley and one is my moms friend who died. My daughter and my brother in law were tested and came back negative.

At the horse races today in Wyoming... at the beginning of the day 1 in 5 were wearing masks... at the end of the day maybe 1 in 50 were wearing mask... social distancing was not happening.

On a positive note they were taking the temperature of everyone entering the race track.

I have yet to encounter anyone who's had it. In the last four months I've been familiar with a couple hundred people. Friends, acquaintances, business.

I have however, met three that lost parents to loneliness in an old folks home. They just gave up and let themselves go.

However, when someone actually puts just a little thought into this they would quickly come to realize that this won't work at all.

About 70% of the world population would need to be exposed to the virus for herd immunity to work in that way. Lets just take the US. Imagine if 70% of the US population were infected. I'm going to just take a wild guess and say that hospitals would almost immediately no longer be able to treat anyone and you'd get hundreds of thousands of people dying on their own and from lack of treatment. We cannot even handle 7%! You might saw, but this 70% would be spread out over time. Nope. That is not the way it works. You simply don't have that kind of control. Once the cat is out of that bag, there is no going back. You then have millions of people dying.

What virus has simply been allowed to run it's course?

What is FAR more likely to happen is that we will come up with a vaccine, as was done with the flu. It will allow us to greatly slow the spread. Science has an advantage in that we understand DNA and genes far better then we ever had. We also have every country in the world working on this.

    Ummmm......the Spanish flu?

I'm aware that there were multiple attempts at a vaccine for the Spanish flu, but nothing effective was found.

    ^^^BOOM!^^^

    For the win...

You can also add malaria and HIV to the list, among others, as neither has a vaccine. Someone needs to do their homework.

H1N1 does have a vaccine. Not in 1918 but it does now. Which is the Spanish Flu. There are over 100 different substrains of H1N1. That is why you have to have a new flu shot each year.

Vaccine is about the only way out of this COVID mess in the short term otherwise it runs like wildfire through the population.

You know the thing about this movie? They DEMAND respect for these men a that want to parade around in dresses (which has been around a while...flashbacks to M.A.S.H.) yet they are always portrayed as weak or screwed up in some kind of way. This one was just a straight up sadistic monster. Didn't this movie win the Oscar?

I think freaks like this actually ended up controlling the dominate, establishment liberal mass media. Took 20 years, but they got it.

Pulp Fiction won Best Screenplay that year. But it was nominated for numerous awards, including best picture, best director, best actor, best supporting actor, and best supporting actress.

It had stiff competition that year:

Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Speed, Clear and Present Danger, Maverick, Wyatt Earp, and The Lion King.
