Since when did you start paying any attention to the news?
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Still convinced that masks are effective? Today Utah just smashed another record with 867 new virus cases -- even though face masks are a requirement in many stores, and the Guv has approved mandatory mask wearing in SLC and Summit counties. Every third billboard along I-15 begs you to wear a mask, and I see way more mask wearers than non-mask wearers in public now.

As long as we don't lock everyone down the cases will continue to go up, with or without the masks.

Maybe they should have enforced masking wearing among those rioting last night in SLC... Just a thought...

There’s no evidence that the lock downs did anything to save any lives.

At what point do we stop and say that the mandates and enforcement for them has gone too far?

^^^ The security guard who did the shooting is black....

....why isn't there looting and rioting? Where's the outrage?

Hey, if he can humble himself and wear a mask, so can all of the other libertarians around here.

He wore the mask because he was visiting a veterans hospital.

Here's my question: what are the mask-lovers going to say when the kids go back to school this Fall under strict mask wearing ordinance but the Covid case count continues to skyrocket?

    Lol. I know.

Don’t know! And there is most likely a bunch of factors. Guess we will find out! (Hopefully you aren’t cheering for everyone to get sick even with masks on are ya? Libertarians aren’t that twisted are they?)

If other countries can significantly decrease their COVID count...here’s hoping that we can too! And we will see if masks can help curb that.

And if masks do indeed do that, I could see that changing the medical landscape where any one who is feeling sick and goes to the ER or family physician, or even grocery store say like with the flu or something else, will either require you to wear a mask or provide one for you. Maybe I’m wrong but wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.

Well, I'm definitely NOT cheering for more people to get sick. I think if worn correctly masks have the ability to cut down the spread. But were talking about the general public here. Wearing the right mask the right way is a tall order to expect from the general public, who are inherently lazy and prone to mistakes.

I think if the medical community and the media in general expect the general public to wear masks I think there should be a media campaign offering instructions on their proper use and maintenance. I've seen a lot of people walking around with a shirt or a rag tied over their mouth, like that's gonna do anything.

Yeah...I think if it were an alien pathogen that made you bleed from your eyes people would still be tweaked about the mask thing. Wear it or not...every time I hear or read someone saying "If they just wear the mask!" all I can think is they're just hoping against hope.

Another thing...everyone "knows" that if you feel sick, you're supposed to lock yourself up. Like that's gonna friggin' happen. Wish in one hand, shit in the other.

Supreme leader Trump is doing a fine job...everyone knows what the deal is by now. Take whatever precautions necessary and get on with your life. We're all taking our chances one way or another.

My office just went "mask required". I wrote and approved the policy. It has nothing to do with my individual freedom or government oversight or requirements. Just sayin'...
