It’s funny. All of a sudden, liberals are in love with quarantine, restricting people mostly to their homes, absolutely no travel outside county, and only travel allows for recognized ‘ essential activities only - in which case you need ID and a letter stating such, law enforcement enforcing these rules. Yet for the part 3+ years, they’ve been screaming that borders, walls, detainment centers, ID, and law enforcement of these laws are racist and xenophobic. It’s almost like these things have more of a purpose and value rather than just using them to be racist. But, what do I know.

Wow. Talk about a gigantic hit and miss. Equating to people rallying to demand their civil liberties returned. Really? Can you be any more stupid?

For nearly 250 years, American soldiers have put their lives on the line, fighting for freedom and liberty, with hundereds of thousands of them giving up their life and/or functionality of their body to preserve and protect the freedoms, liberties, and rights that we as Americans enjoy. Right now, across the nation, government entities are stomping all over those rights and freedoms, including trying to forbid the right to gather and protest. People are rising up to show up to their local government headquarters demanding a return of those freedoms and liberties, excercising one of the basic tenants and core freedoms explicitly outlined in the Constitution - the freeedom to assemble and speak out against government actions that they don't agree with. They are doing this out of respect for, and carrying on the legacy of, those solders and fighters who have gone on before them to fight for those freedoms - and not to just lay down and give them up when the government decides they want to declare them null and void in the name of 'public health and safety'.

It is also out of respect and honor that people pay tribute to those solders who have served, sacrificed, and died for their liberties by standing in respect for them during the National Anthem. The problem that people have with King Douchebag isn't the fact that he was protesting, it was the manner in which he was doing so, showing complete disrespect and stomping on the graves and spitting on the names of those solders by kneeling during the National Anthem, which ironically he has the legal right to do so thanks to those solders for fighting to protect that right, the same right that those patriots are rallying for to protect at state capitols across the nation.

I find it interesting that the memes he attaches equate police brutality with fighting for your constitutional rights. Apples and oranges. Actually, it would be more like apples and macaroni and cheese. Not even close to being similar.

But I try and remember that this is just a troll post anyways, so.....just chuckle, roll your eyes, and move on. Nothing to see here.

I was already fired up about the bottom meme about Crapernick as the same meme was shared on another forum by a neighborhood ultra liberal that I've had several 'discussions' with.

Conservatives were not upset that Kaepernick protested... it was that he shit on the flag, the military, and those who have given their lives to secure our freedoms while doing it...

but to be reasonable... I'd never really expect a liberal to understand that.

While I disagree with jman's assessment of the situation, I think it is worth pointing out that comments like this are never helpful. Calling people names and belittling their opinions has never brought about meaningful change or improvement.

Really? After all of the name calling and and mudslinging on here, I get called out for this?
