Current population of Utah 3.2 million people.
At the current rate of infection in Utah 180 per day it will take 1,777 weeks get over this pandemic.
We are on week 7.

The current infection rate is BECAUSE we are social distancing and cleaning 1000000x/day.

That’s the whole purpose of social distancing.

OK but...nobody is recommending that we do away with social distancing. I just want to see this country get back to work again.

How is it that our economy is being held hostage by a virus that statistically is less lethal than the common flu that goes around every year? Why can't we just social distance and go back to work? Why do we need to force everyone into quarantine and grind the economy to a halt? Have you ever read the Grapes of Wrath?

I keep asking folks who oppose restarting the economy when they think it would be safe to stop the lockdown and I haven't been given a straight answer yet. It's almost as if they don't want to ever commit to a stoppage of the lockdown until every case of Covid has been eradicated. But that is an utterly irrational and nonsensical mind set. Covid is here to stay - at this point we have to adapt to it and work around it because hiding from it forever will never work.

I came home from my road trip because my neighbor told me people were working, the grocery stores were stocked up and things seemed "reasonable"...I figured it would be good for me to come home and start working otherwise I'd get behind schedule and then be stuck working my ass off all summer to get caught up. I've had half this summer booked since last fall. I like my work, and I get paid very well but...been there, done that. Those days are over...I'm not going to work that damn hard anymore.

So today a little bomb went off...the stinking piece of shit, loser knucklehead stupid fool mayor of Denver threw down an "Everyone must wear a mask in public" order effective next Wednesday. I haven't put a mask on anywhere and now it appears that you have to wear one when visiting any business or even working outside your house.

That 'ain't gonna friggin' happen. Time for another big road trip. I just got off the phone with a bunch of my customers and told them to expect me...when I show up. Everything is up in the air now.

Hopefully they'll open up the parks in Utah this month. That'll sure be nice.

Indeed...they tell me to turn left, I'm going right just in spite of them. I booked out of here initially because I didn't want to be in town if they threw up roadblocks...I'm glad that didn't happen but now that they're trying to force me to behave like these freaks driving around with a mask on? No friggin' bueno.

Geez...I came home because it appeared things were starting to loosen up. Instead I come home and 8 out of 10 people are wearing a mask damn near anywhere they are.

Hey, you guys don't mind if I move to Utah, do ya? I can assure you I won't be bringing any butterfly, fairy, liberal "do as I say, not as I do" nonsense with me. Damn near moved to St. George 25 years ago to escape the craziness of So. Cal. but chose Denver instead. Worked out well, and I made a fortune here, but it may be time to say goodbye.
