Yeah, I'm not that smart... I don't have a mask, and I often wear a red MAGA hat.

But I have a habit of poking the bear...I'll go along with the program, with modifications. Right now, my "mask" is and American Flag bandana. Later today I have to run errands...I just called the Army Navy Surplus store here in Denver and asked if they have any Confederate flag bandanas and they said no...they sold out and don't even know if they'll be able to get anymore. So now I'm on the hunt for that bandana.

So, you aviod trouble by....poking the bear.

Yep...I'm just full of contradictions. I just don't do the clone thing very well...but at the same time I get away with murder.

Sometimes tip toeing on the edge can be kinda fun.

So what do you think would be more provocative? The MAGA hat or the bandana? Maybe it's a wash?

Definitely wear both at the same time it completes the fashion statement.

I would suggest really screwing with people and wearing an official face mask (not a bandana), but then also wear a MAGA hat. That way you piss everyone off.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

SALT LAKE CITY — After Utah again broke its highest single-day increase in COVID-19 cases on Friday — then again on Saturday — state epidemiologist Dr. Angela Dunn warned another shutdown might be necessary to control the outbreak.

“We are quickly getting to a point where the only viable option to manage spread and deaths will be a complete shutdown,” the memo stated. “This might be our last chance for course correction. Contact tracing and testing alone will not control this outbreak.”

I thought the recent narrative has been that we would not return to a complete shutdown, and that everyone should exercise increased personal safety -- hand washing, masks, etc.?

I've heard several different sources claim that even if cases should spike again that we cannot afford another complete shutdown.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Accaddaca needs to stop swallowing the bullshit always being fed to the sheep by MSM and understand the numbers....

The death rate is not climbing, which is a major indicator of what is really happening. The reason the number of positive tests is increasing is we are testing exponentially more people now then we were 4 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago if you were young and sick they would just tell you stay home and isolate, call back if it gets worse, because there were not enough test to go around and they were being saved for the "at risk" group. Now anyone can get a test, even if you are not symptomatic.

I'll also guarantee you we're not shutting down again... that was a HUGE national and economic train wreck, not to mentions countries that didn't shut down didn't fare any worse. Another shutdown is just the current liberal wet dream.

I think to be totally accurate, the "shut down" would be to go to "orange". This probably should have been added to your quote above:

"In addition to returning to the orange phase, Dunn recommended making face masks mandatory. She noted these suggestions factor in ways the economy can remain open while still decreasing cases." (Underlining added)

That is not what the article said. This is what Dr. Dunn said:

"Testing in the state has plateaued, “indicating that increase in cases is NOT due to increase in testing,” the memo emphasizes."

The increase is because we are open.

Two ways to overcome this virus....

A vaccine, which ain't going to happen for a long time if ever, we have only been working on one for 20 years (SARS).

Or herd immunity, which requires 70% of the population to get the virus...

I've never seen spread of the virus as a bad thing, so long as it's slow and doesn't overwhelm our healthcare system.

FWIW - Herd immunity is what finally stopped the 1918 pandemic.

    YMMV

Look at the CDC website, which again is NOT being mentioned at this time, I'd think the pandemic is just about over.

Remember, a small, just a teeny weeny fact, the numbers have ALWAYS been Covid OR flu OR pnuemonia. These numbers we've been hearing have NEVER been just about Covid. Just a small point of interest.

I don't think this is over just yet. I do think we will see an increase in the fall when schools hopefully get back to normal.

And the current increase is because we are opening back up. This is to be expected. It isn't because we are testing more.

And the death count increase lags behind the increased cases by about 2 weeks. Also they have a better handle on treating patients with COVID then they did back in March. Especially with the convalescent plasma that contains antibodies.

Shutting down businesses again is the worst idea.

Good luck on enforcing people to wear masks. I think if people quit pushing it so much and just let it be...more people probably would wear a mask. If they don't who the **** cares. If you are worried wear one. But more importantly wash your hands. Go wash them again.

And just because a box says it will not protect you from the virus doesn't mean it won't help. If you want to do a little experiment with me come on up to Weber. I will have you cough unmasked onto a petri dish. Then I will have you put a mask on and cough. We can incubate the plates for 24 hours and take a look.

If this society wasn't so litigious then statements like that wouldn't have to put on packaging. But i can honestly see some money hungry jerk go after a mask making company after they get sick with COVID saying they wore a mask everyday and it gave them false protection.

Again personally if you are healthy I don't think you need a mask unless you are next to some nuckle head that keeps hacking their head off. Or you yourself are coughing. But like a good person I will wear one at work and other places as requested or if I am coughing. Or am around someone who is vulnerable.

Justin you are still out there with conspiracy theories but that is okay.

Anytime I see shit that says I took a screen shot before it was taken down makes me think....ALL of it is bullshit. Anyone can make it look like someone said something they regret posting on the web. Not saying it didn't happen. But it sure smells of BS. But then all of politics smells that way. Especially our current POTUS.

Hey one more reminder...go wash your hands and keep them out of your face.
