Corona, as of yesterday has been completely shut off....

MEXICO SAYS NO MAS BREWING!!!Deemed Non-Essential Biz

As if the coronavirus name thing wasn't enough, now Corona beer won't be brewed at all ... in Mexico, anyway -- not for now.
Grupo Modelo, which brews Corona and several other brands, announced Thursday it would close operations at its 11 breweries in Mexico as of Sunday due to government regulations.
Mexico is closing all businesses deemed non-essential ... and that includes beer. The shutdown will impact Grupo's other brands too -- including Pacifico and all the Modelo brews.

    Thermofisher stepping up

We now have controls to help insure testing is accurate. And verification material to verify the new test methods do what they say.

    https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/h...l-contact.html

Interesting to note is the promised testing by WH of 500,000 tests is still not happening. I wish they would educate themselves a bit about the how and why. And stop spreading misinformation. These things don't happen over a weekend simply because you want them to.

Interesting fact about the highly touted 5 min test from Abbott is that their product insert they have only site 30 positives 30 negatives... for a new test that is pretty low. Kind of unheard of.

I would trust a positive for the most part. But any negative test from this method I personally would want a back up test.

^^^Over 98% of all deaths presented with at least one co-morbidity. In other words, only 2% of all deaths were classified as normal or completely healthy prior to contracting the virus. That's a significant statistic.

But, the MSM and TDS infected freaks will cry that Trump isn’t doing anything about this crisis.

AMERICA FIRST: U.S. OUTBIDDING THE REST OF THE WORLD FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES
    by Kevin Ryan

Countries around the world are complaining that the Trump administration has been outbidding them for medical supplies, and is using hardball tactics to secure goods for the American people.

A shipment of respirator masks made by the US manufacturer 3M that was bound for Germany, for example, was diverted in Thailand and sent to the United States instead. About 200,000 N95 masks were diverted to the US as they were being transferred between planes in Thailand, according to the Berlin authorities who had ordered the masks for the police force.

Andreas Geisel, the Social Democrat interior minister for Berlin state, described the diversion as “an act of modern piracy”. “This is no way to treat trans-Atlantic partners,” Geisel said, saying the U.S. is using “Wild West methods.”

It’s not just the Trump administration wielding U.S. clout… American companies and private citizens have been outbidding other countries in the global market for coronavirus protective equipment.

Valérie Pécresse, head of the local council in Paris, said she “found a stock of masks that was available and Americans – I’m not talking about the American government – but Americans, outbid us,” Pécresse said. “They offered three times the price and they proposed to pay upfront. I can’t do that… So we were caught out.” Pécresse was eventually able to obtain 1.5m masks elsewhere.

Two other French regional government heads told a similar story of “US buyers waving wads of cash” managing to wrest control of a consignment of masks as it was about to be dispatched from China to France. The masks were on a plane at Shanghai airport that was ready to take off when the group of US buyers turned up and offered three times what their French counterparts were paying. Another French official said the group were acting for the US government.

FEMA is coordinating flights for US buyers, but, unlike foreign countries, says it will not nationalize the American distribution network, arguing that private distributors can do a better job. The US has a significant advantage in its fleet of large air freighters, three times the size of China’s.

An individual asked Abbott what the sensitivity and specificity was for the test and this was Abbott's reply on their Facebook page.

Like I said I wouldn't trust any negative tests. I would want a back up on those. If it comes back positive I would trust that result.

This test was given EUA and that is why they have not published sensitivity and specificity they didn't use enough samples to give accurate data. And it is best when determining this data to use real samples not control material.

Make sure to read the Limitations of the test.

They are trying to produce these as fast as they can. It just doesn't happen overnight. And I wish the WH would give a more realistic approach to this fact.

    https://www.abbott.com/corpnewsroom/...9-testing.html

What we need is a rapid test that detects antibodies IgM and IgG to the virus. That would be helpful.

And this is about the general opinion of Abbott in the lab setting. Like I said before I am not a fan of this company. They like to be deceptive.

I took them on over their POC test for troponin I I testing. Biomarker for heart complications. They rolled out a new cartridge that came back with so many testing errors my ED staff was setting up 4 tests at one time to get one result. I tracked all the errors sent them the data. Sent back 4 lots of cartridges to be told when they tested them they found the errors to be within their allowable limits. And they told me no one else was complaining of these problems. The did let us go back to using the old style cartridges.

About a month later I stumbled onto 2 different forums where other POC Coordinators had complained of the same issue. And were told the same thing by Abbott that I was.

That was about 3 1/2 years ago. Well this year Abbott got into trouble with the FDA because they never had those new blue cartridges approved. They had to issue a stop testing notice that really put a lot of hospitals using iSTATs in a bind.
