Murkowksi already speaking like a Dem on the issue. She's likely gone. Romney almost certainly gone you'd think.
I listened to Murkowski's complete speech and the media is cherry picking certain sound bites to try and create a controversy and boost ratings. The media is conveniently skipping the parts where Murkowski blasted the Democrats and their kangaroo court.

I highly doubt any of the GOP will abandon ship as long as this record setting economy continues.

That's good to hear and I'm glad you added that. I only read the article.

Romney couldn’t care less about the economy. His re-election isn’t for another 5 years. Today’s economy will be ancient news by the time 2024 rolls around. He is banking on enough fellow Mormon, anti-Trump and Dem votes to keep him in. He would proudly be remembered as the only GOP to vote against Trump in this trial, and hopes his base will remember him for that over the economy.

I'm not sure how Biden can avoid testifying as he doesn't enjoy Executive Privilege like Trump does, unless there is some type of grandfather clause.

Romney's move to support Bolton's testimony will lead to "cracks in Republicans standing up for Trump" articles. He, Murkowski, and Collins are the 3 a-hats on this issue and can do a lot of damage.

Romney has stated he will support McConnell and the 'Clinton Blueprint' for impeachment, which means no witness testimony unless Republicans decide to call them. This gives the GOP a solid 51 vote majority and doesn't require Murkowski or Collins.

Just please promise me Utah will primary out Romney at the convention like with Bennett. Ironic that Romney intro'd Bennett back then in an effort to save him.

    wow--from cnn

McConnell just ate Pelosi and Schumer's lunch

(CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer have been bested by Mitch McConnell yet again. The two Democrats attempted to create impeachment leverage where none existed by withholding the Articles of Impeachment passed last month against President Donald Trump.

But like your Aunt Frieda threatening not to bring her awful fruitcake to Christmas Dinner, their plan didn't work. Nobody wanted it in the first place.

Romney, Murkowski, and Collins have all agreed to back McConnell and the 'Clinton Blueprint' of an impeachment trial. Pelosi is toast!

I get a big kick out of how every shitty trick the Democrats use always comes back to bite them hard in the ass. The Democrats made up the rules during the Clinton impeachment and now are bitching the rules aren't fair... cry me a river...

The biggest mistake Democrats ever made was Harry Reid changing the Senate vote to only require a simple majority, which has resulted in Trump and McConnell packing the courts with Constitutionalists.

Prediction - Pelosi will send the article's of impeachment to the Senate tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. Pelosi is now in a no-win situation and needs to unload this giant turd sandwich. An in Washington you unload turd sandwiches Friday afternoon so they are part of the Friday Night News Dump.
