Oh, in a spin, loving that spin I am in...
I read some of the comments laughed at the one that said
Meh, at least they won't need to centrifuge her blood samples at the lab. :)
I kinda wanted to puke just watching the video. That had to be frustrating for the crew trying to rescue her.

That had to be practice with a dummy...there's no way a person was in that thing. I'd be shocked otherwise.
Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
It all goes slo-mo
I don't know why I am crying
Am I suspended in Gaffa?

Yep, a real person.
When the medics run out of morphine, a good spin will knock them right out.

Oh it's also nice that the pilot stayed there for a full minute and a half in the same spot, delaying the transport, just watching her spin.
Maybe somebody should have flown a drone in the area and scared the helicopter off to the hospital

In construction when we lift items with a crane, we use tag lines.
I think one here would have avoided a lot of dizziness.
few hundred feet of rope with a carabiner attached to liter, helicopter crew unhook and drop.I'm not Spartacus

It looks like a gimbal malfunction on the cable.
I'm pretty sure any short or long line hoist performed with a helicopter is done without a tag line. It would seriously up the danger factor.

Taglines are not used with helicopters because they can foul and then you're really up a creek.

I flew US Army medevac for several years, never a tagline and only RARELY did we see a spin condition like this.

I couldn't believe this was real, but indeed it is. I can't imagine going thru that. She must have passed out...I know I would have. I get dizzy after two drinks.
Remember when we were kids and we'd spin around in circles? Or at least I did...I tried that a few years ago. I don't recommend it.Suddenly my feet are feet of mud

I drank about 4 ounces of really good whiskey about 3 years ago and my body utterly rejected it. Never did get used to alcohol.
Works pretty well sometimes. Everybody else is drunk and drunk people are fun to be around. Until they disappear, of course.Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
