"The Saga Comes to an End"

    Yeah, right.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I could not care less. It just feels like rinse and repeat. The first one was bad enough with the lightweight villain...and the last one was even worse by turning Luke into a weirdo. Everybody's dead...it's over.

    Rouge One was good, though.

Maybe she does at the end. She becomes the new villain for the next installment. Girls gotta kick some ass, right?

Just got back from watching it. Free tickets are good...otherwise it may have been a few weeks. I thought it was good. I’m not a Star Wars nerd, so I can’t really critique it much.

I thought it was the worst one made so far. Not a huge fan and even less now

^^^I'm thinking that 86% audience score was heavily influenced by diehard Star Wars fanbois who would upvote a turd if it was made by George Lucas.

This wasn’t made by Lucas though...

I enjoyed it, keeping in mind that most of the negative feedback were from fans of 40+ years that know the whole Star Wars canon. The truth is a lot of people in production, acting don't know the canon half as much as the fans do, and they just focused on making a good movie.

It's similar to some Star Trek nerds, decades ago that learned the Klingon language, ran into some Star Trek actors and tried talking with them in Klingon. The actors had no idea what they were saying.

We expect too much of the people making these movies. I think it was a good movie, had plenty of nostalgia, new twists, answers, and as much as they could have packed into 2 hours. In the first 15 minutes I felt it was already fast paced which is good.

Felt like a rerun... the shooting, sword fights, flying through asteriods, etc... was done in every one of the 8 before. I enjoyed tying up the loose ends, didn't care for the cameos... Had to give it a thumbs down, wait for video... or strreaming...
