I don't think he can... The DNC recently ran several polls to see what would happen if Biden skipped the debates and bottom line is he would lose the election on every level, including among college students, which kind of surprised me.

As I was working today, they discussed this on the radio...he looks like a fool if he does them or he looks like a fool if he ducks out...what to do? He can't even read from a teleprompter without drifting off. Like that meme up there...

The problem with ducking out is that he'll lose some "on the fence" voters for sure. He's gonna take a hit, but it seems like he's got less to lose by doing them than not.

It's too late to back out now. CNN is all bent because they were left out of the loop...I like the moderators, too. Wallace is going to lay into Biden...you can bet your ass on that. Trump already has had an interview with him and is much better prepared for it.

I read this on a different article yesterday and among the comments was a woman who said she didn't know wether to laugh at Biden's wife or slap her.

Some have called this elder abuse (myself included) but I think Jill is just taking him on the "goodbye tour"...the last hurrah. He took the challenge because he just wanted to make one last mark and she knows that this is probably the only thing keeping him alive and somewhat alert.

After the election she'll plop him into a chair and try to make him comfortable on his way out.
