He didn’t want to have the same fate as the UPS driver. Sucks that he’ll likely lose his job due to violating FedEx no weapons policies on the job just for saving his life.

Better to be alive with no job then employed and dead. But I'm sure many on the left would disagree with that.

    YMMV

This is my favorite stat so far of 2019. I always love it when some dumbass liberal asks me... "What are you going to do if the government comes for your guns?"

My standard reply is "I'll hand them over bullets first."

Another hero good guy with a gun saves the day. Get ready for a 2 week onslaught of MSM coverage of interviews with the guy that took down the shooter, and debates on what kind and caliber of gun is best to use for CCW self defense in these situations- or, not. YMMV.

Wow, awesome to see security in action. I was on sec duty for my congregation for a while. Really sobering. Our sec detail attended a few confabs organized by the county sheriff. The risks are no joke. I had to mentally prepare myself to take someone down. 3 of us were armed, but nothing ever happened.

    But it certainly can.

I've always been a believer that there are three types of people. Sheep, wolves and sheep dogs, which are you :-)

The guy on the right is definitely a sheep dog.

I wonder what the cop that was assisted by this armed citizen would have to say about that.

This could have ended so much better if she didn’t have that blasted gun on her.

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.

She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, “I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!”. The four men didn't wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver’s seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition.

She tried and tried, and then she realized why. It was for the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat. A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.

She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

    No charges were filed.

    The moral of the story?

If you’re going to have a senior moment… make it memorable.

How to tell if someone is a Republican, a Democrat, or just a Southerner.

Are you a Republican, a Democrat, or a Southerner? This little test will help you decide:
You’re walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.
Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges at you…
You are carrying a Kimber 1911 chambered in .45 ACP, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?
    ******************************
    Democrat’s Answer:
Well, that’s not enough information to answer the question! What is a Kimber 1911 and what does .45 ACP mean?
Does the man look poor or oppressed? Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have an appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he’d be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? Can we make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior?
I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus. This is all so confusing!
    ******************************
    Republican’s Answer:
    BANG!
    ******************************
    Southerner’s Answer:
    BANG!
    BANG! BANG!
    BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
    Click…..
    (Sounds of reloading)
    BANG!
    BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
    BANG!
    Click.
Daughter: “Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Speer Gold Dots or Federal Premium hollow points?!”
Son: “Can I shoot the next one?!”
Wife: “You are NOT taking that to a Taxidermist!”
