So the IPBA publicly commenting that they do not condone this action is basically just them absolving themselves.

Pays to have friends in high places. And being rich and famous helps too.

Kinda feels that way doesn't it. I think the other prosecutors around Illinois were trying to save face in their own jurisdictions. More importantly, it is quite extraordinary for attorney groups to come out against one attorney like this, particularly a group of prosecutors against a fellow prosecutor. In my mind, it is more, much more than simply absolving themselves. Now, if the Illinois State Bar would take action on Ms. Foxx's license that would be a wonderful step to correct the lack of trust that now exists in Illinois.

Chicago’s top prosecutor, Kim Foxx, has been subpoenaed to appear at a hearing over her handling of the Jussie Smollett case, according to a new report.

The Cook County state’s attorney was slapped with the subpoena by a
retired judge who’s pushing for the appointment of a special prosecutor
to look into how Foxx dealt with the controversial case, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Ex-appellate Judge Sheila O’Brien also subpoenaed Foxx’s top deputy
Joseph Magats, and filed a document requesting that Smollett appear at
    the hearing, the report said.

^^^I just hope it leads to something/anything besides her hand getting slapped and then her and Jussy walking free -- which I suspect is exactly what is going to happen here, sadly.

He STILL had the noose around his neck when the police arrived

^^^"Yeah I do [want to remove the noose]. I just wanted you all to see it."

This idiot is Guilty. But he's got Chicago mayor Kim Foxx in his black pocket...errrr back pocket, so he'll most likely walk free of charges.
