I heard False Kiva has been officially closed to the public indefinitely. It was getting vandalised too much so the park service said enough is enough and shut it down.
Sad.It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Isn’t that kind of a sad state of affairs that most people’s behavior is shaped or modified when enforcement is present (or threatened).
Not just national parks, but drinking and driving, texting and driving, not going 300 mph on I-15, using blinkers, not running red lights... and many more examples.
It seems to me that (most) people just do not care about their actions (and consequences) unless law enforcement is present.
Aren’t we wise enough to discipline ourselves so we don’t do some of these things at least?

^^^ Humans are inherently impatient creatures. We can't be bothered to obey petty traffic laws. And where I can see your point and agree with you 100%, ya gotta admit that you've been guilty of violating traffic laws at some point in your life too, right?
Now, vandalism of National Parks is something entirely different. I can't see how anyone can justify blatant vandalism. That's just purely selfish stupidity IMO.It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I just added this to Climb-Utah.com
Long Bow Arch

This is a great route that was kind of a local thing until the BLM recently put in a trail.

These are all great suggestions. Also another closure that I heard about recently is the Zion Narrows. Apparently you can no longer do this from the top down anymore. Or at least not 'legally', since I think they've stopped giving out permits for this due to the high number of SAR rescues that have occurred recently. It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

One hole on your list seems to be hikes up in the Uintas. I love hiking up there with the fam, lots of lakes and nice and a close escape from the hot valley.

Co-signed on this. Everytime I go up over the top and hike in the middle of the Summer and question myself why I don't go up every weekend. Life I guess. I had this discussion on Thursday with my brother of lunch. "Dude, we need to hit Swift Creek and up the Yellowstone again. I need to go over Blue "balls" pass again."
