My casual observance has been that after the election, VPs just fade away and never really are talked about in mainstream American homes. To me, it songs like your saying that for the first time ever, a candidates choice for VP will actually mean something?

Yes, absolutely! The VP has taken over before, in fact it's happened 9 times. In this case, it's obvious that the main candidate (Biden) simply wouldn't last.

I think Biden's VP pick will be crucial, because I think a lot of people understand that he's showing signs of...something's wrong. I don't think it'll be Warren, he'll go with somebody safe...an establishment friendly type. Almost certainly a female, maybe Amy.

The early VA route for Biden is a good 10 points better than optimistic polls were showing. Given that trend, he'll take TX handily and probably take CA as well. Could be over in 3 hours.

I have to think his Castro comments were the catalyst for tonight. That really shook the DNC and galvanized their alarm.
