The DNC is a private Corporation that will put into the game whom ever they deem in their best interest. To me the 2016 election pretty much proved that to be the case. Sad that a private corporation gets to rule our government... well 2 of them actually. The difference to me is that the RNC chickened out on letting the public know they were in control and allowed us to vote in Trump... whom they hated at the time but now make out as their great accomplishment.
It also bothers me that our taxes pay millions to put on the elections (including primaries) knowing that the private coporation involved could effectively nullify the results if they don't as planned - i.e. Bernie torpedo. Bring on the Super Delagates! leak hard to overcome issues, whatever it takes to sway (bend) the public to their will. It's their candidate, not yours...

And they are non profit and tax exempt.

^ That's really interesting. On one hand I agree, parties are private, and that's why I oppose open primaries. Groups have a right to have their own rules. But on the other hand, they literally could nullify a vote. In which case voting could become literally irrelevant.

Home late, watching some outtakes. Warren really damaged Bloomberg with that exchange. Bloomberg had some good lines about Sanders and communism and being a millionaire socialist with three homes. But it just seems to me Bloomberg is a poor candidate in the flesh, especially since ads had made him out to be such a grand figure the last month, and doubly especially since he's running in the modern hard left Dem party.
Overall: Trump won
Of Dems: Bernie held serve, Warren positive a bit, Bloomberg damaged, all others neutral. Which is a Bernie win since the non-Bernie vote remains split 3 or 4 ways. Bernie might top 30% in NV. If he then takes SC, he'll do well on Super Tuesday and might walk to an easy plurality.
As for the convention, the fact superdelegates don't vote on the first ballot, then on the 2nd ballot superdelegates vote and all other regular delegates are freely released, that makes a truly "brokered" convention unlikely. Brokered meaning deals between candidates. It'll be "brokered" light, going past the first ballot potentially.
Candidates cannot tie their delegate votes to anyone. They can only endorse. Absolutely no telling where delegates would end up voting. Most are just party activists who wanted a ticket to a convention and committed early to a candidate. No telling if they still actually want that candidate even now. They're people too and can change their minds. That's assuming the D process is like the R process I went through with a gf trying to become a delegate in 2012. It was early in the year at a state convention meeting well before Iowa even. So many things change in the months long process.

I had to watch and I'll tell you==I was entertained.
Was the funniest thing watching these idiots hold up there hand so they would be called and they showed less restraint than a first grader.
ooohh---ooohh pick me, pick me.
Down and dirty for sure, biden couldn't say what he meant and stumbled--a lot.
bernie doubles down on democratic socialism BUT it's not communism(claim made by bloomberg)
They all spent 104,003,125 trillion dollars of our money on every program and debt forgiveness they could think of, without taking a breath.( I rounded off the figure)
klobachar seemed the most centrist and was criticized for saying she could work with both sides.
poot attacked everybody but most notably, klobachar
Overall, a great night for Donald Trump.I'm not Spartacus

Warren wasn't pulling any punches there. I gotta say, she did a good job. Biggest balls on that stage, for sure.

I was happy to see the real Bloomberg on stage last night and not the slick polished image his TV ads make him out to be. Bloomberg has no personality and is not a very likable person and that was on full display.
Pocahontas was on the war path and beat Bloomberg like a rented mule. I thought Warren was finished after NH but her performance last night might give her a chance to get back in the race. Without doubt Warren was the big winner of the debate.
Sleepy Joe looked just like every other elderly tourist wandering around Vegas staring at the pretty lights while lost and confused. He needs to get out of the race because South Carolina will not save him.
Sanders, who has refused to actually join the Democratic party, is still the Democratic front runner, but there was nothing special about his performance. Sanders threw some punches, but also took some hits. Sanders might win the nomination but will get slaughtered in the general.
Meh... is all I can say about everyone else on stage as none of them did anything to help their campaign or boost them in the polls, which means they did poorly.
