Thread: Government Shutdown

She's worried about the Massachusetts people out of work, so she sends her money to refugees? #liberalLogic

You know you have reached the pinnacle of partisanship when donating your salary is mocked because it wasn't the right charity.

I think Beech's point was if she was so appalled at how many people in Massachusetts were out of work then why did she just decide to donate to charity?

The two things do not coincide, and furthermore just looks like an obvious attempt at self aggrandizement. Look how wonderful Warren is for donating her entire salary to charity! She would make a wonderful president!
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

    ^^^THIS^^^

If the Massachusetts workers are suffering why not donate to a cause that helps them?

I'm beginning to think Oscia-Cortez as the smarter of the two.

Trump donated his salary back to the American people... at least that makes sense.

My point is that she may be grandstanding, but the end of the day she is still cutting a check. Why does it matter that it went to refugees instead of some other charity? refugees are still here in America, so helping them is helping us all. It's like the people that get all bent out of shape because the LDS church donates so much through their welfare to their own members.

My sister is out of work, and man it sucks so bad, her family is starving, so I'm just going to make a donation to the AICR Cancer Organization.

No tax refunds may motivate one side or the other to buckle and end the shutdown. If people don't get refunds, someone is going to take it on the chin.

To make it even worse, I keep seeing rumors that if this continues, it could interrupt tax returns. So, the gov shutdown could interupt tax returns, yet they still take out taxes from my paycheck.

I'd be ok with them going through a ninja obstacle course. But they'd have to be separated from the child they kidnapped they are claiming as their own.
