    Interesting...

The state park page says that the water levels are rising, and the water monitoring page I have show it over half-full.

I should ask my friend who lives in Ivins to take a drive to confirm!

You don't trust my source... she hikes southern utah every morning. Out with her dogs. I don't care what the monitoring levels say. Gunlock overflows.

Wow, I've been wanting to see that for years. One of these years I'll be lucky enough to be there at the right time.

Waterfalls are happening all over Zion too.

I know...sorry. I’m just skeptical since I monitor Gunlock water levels like a hawk.

Remember what happened in "The Subway" 8 years ago, which was the last time Southern Utah had this much snow pack. If you haven't watched this video before it's well worth 20 minutes of your time.

Oh yes! We are wanting to go in these conditions for a long time actually. Got the drysuits all tested and ready to go, bivy gear, the best climbers of the group if we need to escape somewhere, a potshot or two, and GoPros loaded for an epic journey.

It is pretty amazing! Seriously almost worth driving back down there for. We left Tuesday because the weather turned bad. Sarah wanted to thaw out. 2 weeks ago they had -22 wind chill in I.F. We got two days of decent weather in STG then bailed.

Sarah asked me if Gunlock was over flowing I said I don't think yet but I was pretty sure it would this year.

Here are a few more pics for the non believer.

    I'm calling it right now.....

SAR is going to be very busy this Spring. Hopefully nobody gets killed.

It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I don't think SAR gets much of a break anymore. Even when conditions are dry.

Sweet! Thanks for the pics blue eyes!

Guess I’m driving down there this weekend...
    Bringing my drone and GoPros

And if the lake is already overflowing, come April it’s going to be even more significant!

I hope. I would love to drive down and see it again when it is a bit warmer.

I was in Circleville last weekend (site of an avalanche death a few weeks ago). The run-off was such that ATV trails were raging rivers, some spots too deep to cross safely. As we made it across HWY89 toward the north end of Piute Reservoir, the trail had become a moving LAKE of water. Never have I seen that much runoff this time of year. It's going to get UGLY!

Is this where the CanyonMan legend was born?

Two questions...what is the Canyonman legend and where is Gunlock Res. and why is it significant?
Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
    It all goes slo-mo
    I don't know why I am crying
    Am I suspended in Gaffa?

Gunlock is near St. George Utah. It is just pretty to see the waterfalls on the red rock. It only happens when Gunlock overflows. As for the other question I have no clue.

There are petroglyphs in and around the area. I can't remember where they all are..but if you are into that kind of thing you will enjoy the process of finding them.
